Where to Buy: TIFF swag

Celebutantes and socialites have all the fun and sadly, we’re not talking about you, our lovely everyday socialites, though we know you’re just as deserving. Never does this become more crystal clear than during The Toronto Film Festival when our city is lit up with starlets. Red carpets are fabulous and we know the after-parties are amazing, but in our wildest celebrity dreams it’s the gifting lounges that would turn us into kids in a candy store.  Imagine being pampered while you sample and shop a stylish suite full of goodies absolutely gratis? We’re sure it’s absolute bliss.

Here’s the dirt on what celebs are taking home this year at tiff and more importantly, where you can get your very own goods, though you’ll have to part with a bit of your hard earned cash to get ’em.

Inside Rock-it Promo‘s Tastemakers Suite at The Intercontinental Yorkville, you’ll find Canadian faves including Damn Heels, Nanoblur, Jessica Jensen and much more inside a reusable me + you swag bag. This bag is literally, the stuff our dreams are made of.

Where to buy:
Damn Heels retails for $20 at BLO Blow Dry Bars or online at www.damnheels.com
Nanoblur is just $19 at Rexall / Pharma Plus locations or online at www.indeedlabs.com
me + you classic cotton reusable totes are available online at www.meandyou.com for $29.99
Jessica Jensen italian glazed kidskin woven coin purses are the splurge on the list at $198 each and are available online www.shopjessicajensen.com (p.s. we noticed a seafoam green version on sale)

Esther Garnick PR‘s Essentials Lounge located at Ra Sun Spa, is the first lounge dedicated to the weary media souls who will be working non-stop throughout the festival.  Their goodies will keep them looking fresh and hydrated and include a new beauty must-have on our list, The Socializer by Elizabeth Grant and Vitamin Water in Essentials Orange (of course!)

Where to buy:
The Socializer retails for just $40 and can be purchased online at www.elizabethgrant.com

Check your local grocer, convenience store or pharmacy for vitamin water (average price $2.49 each).

NKPR’s IT Lounge is hosted this year at their offices on Adelaide, just around the corner from TIFF’s Bell Lightbox. They’ve got beauty and fashion inside but it’s the techie selection, a Kobo e-reader, that has our attention. Imagine just how stylish we’d look reading ready sappy chick lit on this sleek device.

Where to buy:
Get the Kobo e-reader online at www.chapters.indigo.ca for $149.

Last but not least, are tons branded gifting suites hosted in suites scattered throughout the city’s top hotels and other hubs. There are too many to name and plenty we’re not even privy to, but we’d have to check out the TIFF Aromachology Scent Suite at The Four Seasons Hotel because being gifted with your own signature scent is too posh to pass up.

Where to Buy:
Complete the online questionnaire to determine your scent story and create your custom fragrance online at www.myaromachology.com. $160 for 100 ml / $60 for a travel spray.

  1. Love the insider scoop! Thought you might be interested in a fun
story about another product that will be tucked into the gift bags
    at the Canadian Film Lounge…

Not sure if you have heard of We-Vibe, but its the best selling
“couples’ toy” in the world, and it was invented by a Canuck! As such,
it has appropriately been selected for the gift-bags at the First
Weekend Club gift suite this weekend. (it has been in the bags at the Oscars and Super Bowl too!)

    There’s a press release here:
