Cheers to YOU for 2012!

2011 marks another amazing year at Shop Socials, and of course, I couldn’t do it (and wouldn’t do it) without you and countless others!

I count myself as privileged to have shopped and socialized with close to 1000 lovelies at 5 events: La Tease, The Spring Mixer, Hot for Hope, Divalicious 3 and Eco Goddess.  I was honoured to bring those events to life with great partners, sponsors, vendors and interns.  I feel immensely grateful that changes to the business (out with the socialite card, in with Shop Socials Excursions) were met with great support. I feel blessed to see Shop Socials recognized in the media. I am humbled to be asked to share my style and shopping advice through speaking, guest blogging and now as a regular contributor on The Hip & Urban Girl’s Guide. Thank you to each and every person who consciously or unconsciously helped Shop Socials grow this year.

It’s been an awesome year for me but here comes a new one, and I want to pay it forward by dedicating it to you. My theme  for 2012 is…

“How can Shop Socials best serve YOU?”

I’m working on the answer and so far it includes:  better online content and richer shopping experiences. In a nutshell I want to provide you with better shopping “tools” you can use without leaving your house and more exciting things to do when you venture outside. Suggestions are welcome, but otherwise I do hope you stay tuned for the changes that await.

Shop Socials debuts Santa’s Limo Helper

Why should Santa enjoy the comfort of his reindeer drawn sleigh while we circle parking lots, brave crowds and bah humbug over gas prices? This fall we want to erase those ghosts of holidays’ past and replace them with a memorable gift shopping experience.

Every Sunday from November 5 to December 11, Shop Socials will be offering  Santa’s Limo Helper, a chauffeured shopping excursion designed to tackle even the most challenging gift list with the help of luxury limousine transportation, an on-board gifting tutorial,  festive cocktails, gourmet sweets and a two and half hour guided tour of Queen West, Leslieville or Yonge and Eglinton boutiques, hand-selected for their gifting charm.

Flirt celebrates ONE at Divalicious 3

Flirt Custom Lash, our go-to source for Xtreme lash certified semi-permanent eyelash extensions, celebrated their 1st birthday with Shop Socials, DivaGirl Fitness and the help of over 450 guests at Divalicious 3 on Monday, August 15. The lovely ladies of Flirt brought out their clients and friends to celebrate their big day with a Divalicious 3 VIP booth experience complete with limo transportation, bottle service and a stocked snack bar including our sponsors, PopChips.

As our event sponsors, we were happy to seat them right at the centre of it all – it was definitely Flirt’s moment to shine. It seemed like the camera never stopped flashing around these divas, maybe it had something to do with the flirty lips that became every diva’s accessory of the night. Hold the lips and take a pic!

I was honoured to asked to play model for the day with Kristy and Lisa of Rent Frock Repeat, a new web-based dress rental company that ships designer dresses to your door  for 4 or 8 day loan at a fraction of the retail price, as they photographed dresses for their fall / winter update.
